About Church of Saints Simon and Helena

Located at the famous Independence square, this 20th Century Roman Catholic church is one of the major landmarks of Minsk. The red brick walls of the church stand out and give the building a picturesque and impressive appearance. The Red Church is also called St. Simon and St. Helen Church as it was built to commemorate the death of two children of the Belarusan aristocratic Wojnilowicz family. The Red Church is still known to be one of the historic buildings in Minsk.
