The mosque is built on the outskirts of Sana'a. It is the largest mosque, built in 2008 and has a capacity of 44,000 people at one time. Yemeni culture is markedly define here. It harbours combination of architectural styles and massiveness of mosque. Many unique limestones have been used to design this sacred place. The very look of the place will leave you awestruck with its mesmerizing chandeliers and wonderful Islamic design. The place is named after Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh. Adding on to its beauty are the gardens around it.
Take a private cab from the city centre. It will take around 25-30 minutes to get there.
