The truly magnificent and architectural wonder, the Fukian Assembly hall a world cultural heritage site was created to be the center point for residents from Fujian China visiting Vietnam. A reminder of the close ties between the neighboring countries and yet another landmark signifying the importance of this port town the Fukian Assembly stands tall and proud in the Hoi An skyline. The majestic main gate, not part of the original blueprint but built later is designed in true Chinese style, with intricate pillars, red-tiled walls, gabled roofs and flanked by statues of lions. The center itself houses a fertility temple for couples seeking treatment for children and a shrine to commemorate the efforts of Chinese fishermen. Inviting and filled with several little gems of artwork here and there, the Assemble hall is definitely a place to tick off on your visit to Hoi An.
