This is no ordinary hoodoo voodoo. Bryce Canyon National Park is a reserve in southern Utah, known for the largest known collection of red “hoodoos” on Earth, Hoodoos are irregular columns of rocks. Unlike the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon is a series of natural “amphitheaters” or bowls, carved into the edge of a high plateau. The park boasts four main viewpoints: Bryce Point, Inspiration Point, Sunset Point, and Sunrise Point.
Pack your bags and take the hiking trails to explore the forests, join a geology talk, rim walks, or astronomy program. You can also experience the park on horseback and stay on one of the campgrounds during the summer months. If you fancy a winter visit, hotel rooms are available at the Sunset Hotel.
