About The Valley of a 1000 Hills

The Valley of 1000 Hills is a place where the true and unspoilt beauty of Africa can be viewed through its scenery, animals, culture and history. There are many cultural villages that still occupy parts of Valley of 1000 Hills. How to reach

From the awe-inspiring Kloof Falls, this route follows the edge of the Valley of a Thousand Hills, the shores of Midmar Dam, views of an old Voortrekker wagon road, and on to Nshongweni Dam. The journey is about half an hour from the city center.

Tips

  • The journey to reach this place is long but the view is totally worth it.
  • The journey is not very advisable for people who get motion sickness.
  • Experienced drivers should only drive, so it is better to hire a taxi or go by bus, rather than driving on your own.
  • Do not litter the area.
  • Carry enough water and food as you may not get a lot of things on the way.
