Durban Botanical Garden is spread across 15 hectares and definitely worth your time! Built in 1849, it is the oldest botanical gardens and one of the most visited tourist attractions in South Africa. Located in the Berea district, the gardens are less than a 10-minute drive from downtown Durban. A regular shuttle bus connects the gardens with the city center. For those arriving by car, use the large free parking lot outside the gardens’ main entrance.
