Fort Santiago is named after Saint James. The building exhibits Spanish architecture. A riverside barricade surrounding the fort is a delight to the eyes of a visitor. The craft shops and museums are places to explore. It is situated in close proximity to Pasig River. The fort represents the tragic events of how the Filipinos and American prisoners were tortured in the dungeons. The Rizal shrine of the fort displays memorabilia of the hero in their collection.
