About The National Museum of Nepal

This historical site built over a century ago is home to a variety of displays, from Buddhist art to religious sculptures the museum has so much to offer. The past rulers and the Prime ministers wanted a place to showcase 'Nepal' and the national museum pays tribute to that. There are bold displays featuring exo-skeletons and sculptures of tigers, leopards, red pandas and many other creatures of the Nepal ecosystem. For a day to breathe in the cultural history of Nepal the museum with its massive library and beautiful exhibits is one of the best places for tourists to visit.

  • The entire museum is in three different buildings

  • The museum has some unplanned opening and closing days so please check before planning.
