The unique Buddhist stupa in the Kathmandu rumored to be built on the sacrifice of King Vikramaditya can be described as a religious center in the city, surrounded by several Tibetan covents, the Boudhanath Stupa has been named a UNESCO world heritage site. The structure accompanied by a massive Mandapa was originally the sole and most traveled trade route, now a place for good fortune, the site is also rumored to have the remains of Kassapa Buddha. The stupa was a place for merchants to offer prayers and consequentially became an area for them to set their shops and restaurants. The number one place for tourists to visit, the stupa brings in crowds every day a must-see on everyone's list.
