About Zaitunay Bay

The stunning 215,000 sq. foot architectural marvel is the final stop for visitors looking for a destination to soak their soul in happiness. Zaitunay Bay is a must see with friends or family. You can spend memorable moments while enjoying a wide range of cuisine served on a platter in excellent seaside restaurants and bars. Often touted as Beirut's leisure area where for entertainment getaways there are lavish hi-end apartments, restaurants, boutiques, and yacht club at marina seafront. It is perfect for leisure walkers who can choose from a stunning teak boardwalk, ample terrace seating and much more. It's the ultimate destination for sea and open area lovers, where one can rent a boat or simply enjoy the sunshine. Amazing fire concerts and cultural flea markets adds glitter to its reputation.

Must See

  • Walking along the Corniche waterfronts, you can see Zaituna Bay and finally arrive at this Icon which is a great place to click photos.
  • Great to visit both during the day and night. This place offers lots of food variety from different restaurants and a couple of grand clothing stores.
  • Good view with the yachts.
  • Watch the boats anchored in the marina.
  • Alongside Beirut, Yacht club and beyond is an abundance of indoor/outdoor café restaurants where you can sit and watch the world go by and gaze out at the yachts in the adjacent Marina.

How to reach

  • 1 h 17 min (6.0 km) via Damascus by walking.
  • 27 min (7.1 km) via Elias El Hrawi by a taxi.
  • Beirut is well serviced by its network of slow, crowded but good-value buses and minibusses. The mode of operation is on a ‘hail-and-ride’ system: just wave at the driver and, in theory, at least, the bus will stop. There are no timetables, but buses generally run from around 5.30 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily at intervals of 15 minutes.
  • Inner city bus fare is a little less than $1.
  • Yellow taxis go downtown (fares around £15).

Tips

  • In summer it’s better to go there at night because of the glazing sun.
  • The cafes and restaurants might be a little more expensive than you would think.
  • The parking charges are high - Taking a taxi to that place will cost you less.
