About Rene Mowad Garden

The Rene Moawad Garden also known as Sanayeh Garden is one of the oldest public open-air spaces. Built during World War I, the garden has since changed names and finally was renamed in the honor of ex-President Rene Moawad. Sprawling over an area of 22,000 square meters, the garden is a popular open-air space for sports lovers, elderly and children alike. It is equipped with shock-resistant jogging lanes, specialized bicycle tracks, stretching bars, and three children's fun playgrounds. An amphitheater and two exhibition areas provide ample opportunity to the artists to let their creativity out. Free Wi-Fi makes the garden more public friendly. The blossoming trees and fountains give this place the kind of warmth every soul looks for.
