About Emir Munzer Mosque

This historic mosque was got constructed by Emir Munzer Al-Tannoukhi, former Governor of Beirut between 1616 and 1633. Partly damaged during the Lebanese Civil War, the mosque was restored in 2002. The splendid traditional Lebanese architecture of the Emir Munzer Mosque along with the octagonal minaret depicting the Mamluk style makes it a treat for eyes. Its glass roof and central fountain add to its uniqueness.
