About Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple

Sankat Mochan Hanuman temple has the idol of lord Hanuman which was established by the famous poet Tulsidas in 1500s situated at the banks of river Assi River. The idol present in the temple is distinctive and popular for the prasad, "Besan ke laddoo" that is sweet with the flavour of ghee in it. Every year the temle organises the music concert based on clasical music and dance held in the month of April known as "Sankat Mochan Sangeet Samaroh", and musicians and performers from all over India participate in the concert. Pilgrims and devotess from different parts of the world visit here with the believe to remove all the obstacles and difficulties from the path.
