About Assi Ghat

Lord Shiva temple, the idol is placed under the peepal tree, hundreds of visitors from different parts of the world come to visit this temple located at the southern parts of Varanasi Ghats. Meditatation and yoga are performed every day,early morning at the Assi Ghat by the river Ganga. Popular festivals such as are Some of the great festivals Mahashivaratri, Ganga Dashahara, Ganga Mahotsav, where several of devotees visit the Ghats. Assi Ghats has been mentioned in literature and Vedas in Hindu Mythology.
