About Alamgir Mosque

Alamgir Mosque, also known as Beni Madhav Ka Darera,  is situated at the panchganga ghat of Uttar Pradesh, it was established by Auranzeb, the Mughal emperor. Uncomparable architecture of the mosque that is combined blend of religious Hindu and Mughal Architecture including fine and unique form of arts that describes the excellence of ancient India's artwork. The sacred place with the ganga flowing is known for the sacred bathing of the pilgrims. Lower portion of the mosque resembles to the structure of a temple and so it is believed that once it was a VIshnu temple that was later constructed and completed to form a mosque.
