It is a magnificent place where the visitors, can see and perceive that the royal family of Jaipur was one of the richest in India. The city has a unique blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. The palace exhibits painting, art gallery, photographs, and royal costumes. The royal family lives in Chandra Mahal; one can access the private rooms at an additional cost with the help of a personal guide. Govind dev temple is embodied in the palace. The city palace history is connected to the history of the city Jaipur. The most predominant places to be visited which are of prime importance include Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, Sri Govind Dev temple and City palace museum. There are three gateways for the entrance of the palace which in earlier days were used by the Royal family. The entry for the public is through Udai Pol and Virendra Pol.
It takes around 20 minutes by walk from city centre Jaipur to City Palace. The City Palace has good connectivity with the city, and you can reach the place by bus, taxi or auto rickshaw, depending on your starting point. Khasa Kothi Chauraha is a place to catch a bus to reach the place.
