How to reach

It is about 8 kms from Bláskógabyggð. you can take bus numbers 71 and 72 to reach the geysir

Tips

  • Do walk on the marked pathway since hot water will be there at some region
  • stay within the fence to protect you from the hot spring
  • never touch the water as the temperature will be 80-90 degree celsius
  • dont throw any rocks,coins,litters into the geysir
  • keep your children under supervision
  • recommended to watch the geysir from the direction opposite to the direction of wind
  • walk carefully during winter, slippery surface may make you fell down
  • the hospital is about 65 kms from geysir
