This is the Temple of the famous Greek God Zeus, the leader of the Greek mythology Gods. The temple has survived the Hellenistic era, Roman, Ottoman and medieval eras. The area exudes an aura of power and symbolizes the sheer Architectural superiority of the Greeks. The Temple does not allow outsiders into the boundary wall but the structure can be toured from the outside. Majestic limestone columns surround the temple. Through the audio tours available the tour guides will sum up the historical significance of the building through each and every era. To get lost in a wonder that predates most of the buildings in Athens this spot is a perfect place to lay back and be amazed by the talent the ancient Greeks possessed.
