The library, a huge stone structure very close to the center of the city, is an ancient library that has collapsed over the years. Although it looks like ruins from the outside once you enter the site you will notice the intricate little surprises. From inscriptions in the stone to beautiful ancient artifacts, the library is worth a visit. Built under the reign of the Romans, the architecture slightly deviates from the other Greek structures. Athens has always been remembered as being a hub for knowledge in the golden eras, and at its center was the library. Constructed as a portrayal of power, the library soon began to host several lectures and storage for several published books by the Greek philosophers. Athens at every nook and corner surprises with ancient jewels and the library is definitely one of them.
