It was built by Emperor Menelik II to celebrate his victory over the Italians. The cathedral's museum consists of the weapons used against the Italians. It also has the imperial throne which displays the stained glassworks. Here the Empress and the Emperor were crowned which made it a pilgrimage site for Rastafarians. Its museum also has many Artefacts, Ceremonial Clothings, Paintings and Sculptures which provide an insight into the Ethiopian history. The church is built in an Octogonal shape with Grey stone, which makes it quite admirable. It also has a beautiful vast garden with old trees and benches where people can sit and relax. It is a worth-seeing site and tells us much more about the history of Ethopia and Christianity. The priests give sermons on religious topics and explain the meaning of the verses from the Bible.
