Glass windows and tombs of Emperor Haile Selassie and his wife are what this yellow, ancient and majestic building of character has to offer. The cemetery which is very interesting is located behind the church and is open for public viewing. In the interior of the building you can find stained educational glass windows showcasing biblical stories and in front of the ark of the covenant, "Holy of Holies," you can find an altar where the faithful pray. The cathedral complex also includes the 'Bale Wold' (Feast of God the Son) Church, which is also known as the Church of the Four Heavenly Creatures. The church compound is mainly the burial place for those who fought against the Italian occupation, or those who accompanied the Emperor into exile. As with every historical building in Ethiopia, the construction of the church reflects the deep roots of its Christian heritage showcasing the traditional construction with the vast hallway, decorated altars and stained glass windows all resonating an Italian feel.
