This church is a "UNESCO" site. It is a 600-year-old sanctuary in the building tradition of the Northern part of Ethiopia, and marks the advent of Christianity in the Southern part of Adadi Mariam. It is an ancient and spiritual place to visit. It is an interesting place to see which reveals each and every story of Christianity. This place will make you feel enchanted and looks like a natural underground palace.Outsideis the corridor wall incorporated with 24 windows and 10 doors. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that it was a church which was cut out of a single piece of rock in the 13th century AD by the King Lalibela .
