Tivoli Gardens is one of the top 15 attractions in Copenhagen. This pleasure destination consist of an amusement park, 10 restaurants and gardens. Established in 1843 by George Carstensen. the garden was origibally built outside the city walls. It is the second oldest amusement park in the world and one of the world's most visited parks. Celebraties like Hans Christian Andersen and Walt Disney have visited the park. The gardens has one thing or the other for everyone. There are historic buildings, exotic gardens and green lawns. Amusement park offers some historic rides and some quite modern rides. The wooden roller coaster (Rutschebanen) dating back to 1914 and is one of only handful of roller coasters worldwide. The Vertigo ride was voted Europe’s Beat Ride in 2014. A tall carousel and the Demon Roller Coaster are ultra-modern coaster with huge loops. The newest ride is a giant spinning swing called Aquila. By Train: The best way to get from City Hall Park to Tivoli Gardens is to travel by train.Tivoli Gardens is part of Copenhagen Panoramic City Tour. Danish Railways (DSB) operates a train from City Hall Park to Tivoli Gardens hourly.
By Bus: The cheapest way to get from City Hall Park to Tivoli Gardens is to go by bus.

• Research Tivoli Gardens rides and costs in advance. This will save your money and time both
• Buys tokens at the park and pay for each ride instead og multi-ride ticket. Tokens are available at 25 DKK and each ride costs between 1 – 3 tokens. Multi ride tickets cost 209 DKK (220 DKK at weekends)
• Avoid re entry: If you leave Tivoli and return later in the same day there is a charge of 25 DKK per person (over 8 years old)
• Enjoy panoramic views of Tivoli Gardens: The Hot Air Balloon Ferris Wheel operates at a lovely slow pace and looks over parts of Copenhagen and the whole of Tivoli Gardens.
• Carry local currency much needed small change for food stalls. Tivoli adds a charge to all credit card transactions (local and foreign) of up to 2.5%
• Take your pushchair: Tivoli is very pushchair friendly. The train and metro networks are also pushchair friendly with lifts available at every station
• Stay until nightfall: Tivoli Gardens look spectacular in the evening. So stay until nightfall and experiencing the nightly Illumination Show on the bridge across the lake

• If you have a Tivoli Pass can bring up to two children between 3 and 7 years free of charge. For more than two children, full children's entrance fee must be paid for each child beyond the second child. Children under 3 years of age enjoy free entrance to Tivoli.
• On Fridays after 7pm during the Summer season as well as on other evenings with big concerts, the ticket price is 175 DKK. For children 3 - 7 years of age the ticket price is 100 DKK.
