About Kings Park and Kings Park War Memorial

The Kings Park War Memorial overlooks the city of Perth. It offers views of the Canning and Swan rivers. It is a replica of the Australian Imperial Force Memorials which are erected in Belgium and France. The State War Memorial Cenotaph, unveiled by the State Governor, has been erected in remembrance of the men and women Western Australia who served in Australian wars. The concrete foundations are enclosed by supplemented by inner walls. They enclose an inner chamber which is called as a crypt. The walls around the crypt are covered with The Roll of Honour. It contains marble tablets which list the names of more than 7000 members killed on the Warfield.

One of the largest and most beautiful inner-city parks, it boasts of over 3000 species of the State’s unique flora. Rich in Aboriginal and European history and contemporary culture, it offers innovative design, displays, and services.
