About Hillary's boat Harbour

Hillarys Boat Harbour offers a variety of experiences to locals and tourists alike. It is Perth's premier recreational destinatio, an iconic Western Australian property. It has a wide range of exclusively groomed public parklands and coves for swimmers and snorkelers. It was opened in 1988. It houses the Aquarium of Western Australia (AQWA), the Rottnest fast ferries and the prestigious Hillarys Yacht Club. There are also numerous food and retail outlets that one can visit here. Visit this place to watch the sunset and enjoy a cup of hot coffee or a bowl of cold ice cream.

How to reach

It is 25 minutes from the city centre and is easily accessible by walk, car, cycle, or public transport.

By the train, take Joondalup Line towards Butler Stn and from there, take Bus. No. 423 towards Stirling Stn.

Tips

  • If you drive to the harbor and plan to stay overnight, make sure to park in a safe spot by other cars, not in an isolated location.
  • Pets are not allowed here.
  • Though it is a safe and family-friendly place, it is crowded. So, if you are looking for a quiet place, this might not be the ideal place.
  • There are both shallow and deep areas while swimming on the beach.
  • Be sure to keep your kids in the shallow areas.
