About San Telmo

With its cobblestone streets, elegant colonial buildings, numerous tango parlors, cafes and restaurants, San Telmo has a unique charm of its own. The city's oldest neighborhood is well-known for its antique stores, churches, and museums (National Historical Museum is quite good). Over the years, San Telmo also transformed into an epicenter of contemporary art, thanks to several high-quality art galleries. On Sunday, the entire place is teeming with people eager to lay their hands on antiques, trinkets, leather goods, tango, and delicious food at the popular Feria de San Telmo (Sunday market).
