Right in the middle of bustling San Telmo neighborhood is the subterranean wonder named El Zanjon de Granados. This fascinating tourist attraction is an archaeological site, offering a glimpse into the city's past. A series of tunnels, sewers, and precious artifacts were accidentally discovered under a 200-year-old old mansion by its owner, an Argentine named Jorge Eckstein, in 1985. Stunned by the discovery, Eckstein spent the next 17 years painstakingly restoring the mansion and the objects by spending a fortune from his own pocket. The result is there for all to see. Go on the guided tour and get a peek into the history of Buenos Aires.
The tunnels and Casa Minima - the narrowest house in the city.
