If parks can be considered therapeutic, Bosques de Palermo, the city's largest and oldest park, has surely played a huge part in Argentinian mental well-being. Opened in 1875 and spread over 900 acres, the park is a true gem. Aside from the fact that it’s a marvelous place for a stroll, the park has three artificial lakes, where you can go boating, a running track, a splendid rose garden and you can choose between numerous fine cafes and eateries. Other interesting attractions nearby include an interactive eco-park (formerly zoo) and planetarium. If you want to get away from the chaos of Buenos Aires, this is the place to be.
