About St. Michael’s Gate (Museum of Arms and Michael's Tower)

Michael's Gate is the only preserved gate of the city, belonging to the 14th Century, and it is a major symbol of Bratislava. The 51-meter-high tower provides an enchanting view of the Old Town and the beautiful Bratislava Castle. Climb up the tower and enjoy breath-taking views of the surroundings. The tower houses the Museum of Arms where you can explore ancient weapons of the historic Army. Michael's Gate is located in the Old Town and there are many major attractions just a stone's throw away. The place also has numerous restaurants and stalls where you can eat, drink and relax on a sunny afternoon. The tall tower stands proudly on a bright day, creating a postcard picture against the blue sky. However, visiting the tower on a cloudy day is said to be very magical and romantic.
