About Khalifa International Stadium

This wonderful piece of architecture was built in 1976. It was later restored and presented to the public in 2005. It is an architectural masterpiece like many other structures in the city of Doha. You can enjoy a variety of events that are organized in the stadium from time to time. Just make sure to check the schedule of the events before you plan your visit.

How to reach

Take a taxi from Doha city Center and drive along the Al Corniche St. to reach your destination.

Take bus number 76 from Doha City center and get down at the Ring Road Stop 1 station. Change for bus number 32 from there and then get down at the stadium entrance 1 station. It's at a 7-min walk from there.

Tips

  • Buy your ticket ahead to save time.
  • Do not carry big luggage with you as it gets inconvenient to move and is not allowed at certain places.
  • It is less crowded during the afternoon visiting hours.
  • Do not take photos where not permitted.
  • Always have an umbrella with you in case the heat becomes intolerable.
  • Carry water, bug repellent, sunscreen, umbrella, and a hat as most of the structures are in the open and under the sun.
  • Carry an ample amount of water to stay hydrated.
  • Wear comfortable footwear and clothes to avoid any inconvenience.
