This artificial lake was built by the British in 1882. Back then, it was known as Lake Victoria of Rangoon, Burma. This lake was built by joining hills that surrounded small local creeks which were naturally formed during the annual Southeast Asian monsoon season. These days, Inya Lake of Yangon, Myanmar, has metamorphosed into a popular place among the Yangonites for literally everything from jogging to hitting golf balls. It serves as one of the best romantic spots for young couples.
The lake, its serenity, and the well-maintained areas of 37 acres is the must-see in this attraction. The landscape is most captivating during the sunset. Explore nature, the restaurants nearby, the park, and the garden around the lake.
