About Chaukhtatgyi Buddha

It is the statute of the Reclining Buddha that is the most attractive point in this temple. This reclining pose of Buddha is hardly seen anywhere else in the world. Also, the enormity of the statute is mind-boggling. The statue is 66 metres long. Apart from that, like every other Buddhist temples, it offers a quiet ambiance for the visitors.
