About Cactus Thiemann

The Cactus Thiemann is a 17-acre cactus farm on the outskirts of Marrakech founded in the mid-1960s by Hans Thiemann. He was an agriculture engineer from Germany who decided to open a cacti farm in the suitable weather of the Moroccan desert. The Cactus Thiemann is the biggest cacti farm in the whole of Africa, comprising of more than 150 varieties of cactus, all displayed in perfect arrangements stretching into the horizon. Witnessing the largest cactus standing tall at 8m high among the deserted landscape has always been a delight to the eyes.
The farm is a hidden gem, difficult to find but worth the ride. The entry is by appointments made by calls or emails as it often gets closed for private events. The guide provides a detailed 30-minute tour on the farm, after which you can explore the depths of the ambiguous location. The farm is most famous for the exotic collection of cacti and the exhilarating experience. It is a paradise for all the plant lovers and nature enthusiasts, getting to see all varieties of cactus in an exclusive venue. The Cactus Thiemann is mainly bustled because of the stunning portraits captured in this elegant place. The increase in-crowd, have made thoughts on opening a café in the middle of the farm for refreshments. They have nurseries providing cacti for many places, and people can purchase any cactus expect the oldest one on the slot. How to reach

By air: The Marrakech Menara Airport is the closest to Cactus Thiemann. From
there, taxis can be hired to reach the botanical garden, which is only 20.5 kilometres in
distance.
By car: Renting a Grand Taxi that will cost around 200 MAD or private cars can be used to drive to the farm.
