The Eretz Israel Museum spans several acres of land and boasts several alluring and modern complexes. It is one of the most sought after tourist spots in Tel Aviv. The planetarium is housed in the complex, as well as pavilions with a display of ceramic, glass, history of writing, ethnography, and folklore. Tel Qasile is at the centre, where Israeli archaeologists have identified various settlement levels dating back the 12th century.
The site was occupied throughout the Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine eras but was abandoned in favour of nearby Jaffa during the Islamic period. The displays of anthropological, archaeological and historical artifacts are beautiful and the delicate pottery is eye-catching.
Hosting several temporary exhibitions featuring works from the iron and copper ages, and some dedicated to the flora and fauna of Israel, there is an exhibition for everything and everyone here. The spacious halls and organized exhibits leave visitors spellbound. Kids and adults will always find something to admire at the Eretz Israel Museum making it one of the top picks to go to when in Tel Aviv.
