About The Little Museum of Dublin

A couple of minutes of walk from Fusilier's Arch, at the top of Dawson Street, is a must-see for those keenly interested to see how Dublin and its people lived their lives and evolved over the past century. James Joyce once famously said, "In the particular is contained the universal." which neatly sums up the magic of this treasure trove. It opened its doors in 2011 following an appeal for memories and artifacts. This museum hosts an array of temporary exhibitions and events as well as permanent installations, which includes a U2 retrospective with exhibits donated by band members. This little museum of Dublin is clearly a 'people’s museum', located in an 18th-century Georgian townhouse by the Dublin city council.
