Spread over 5 hectares, the zoo was built in 1992. The zoo houses 290 species of animals. Apart from animals from Iran, the zoo also plays host to African lions, Bengal Tigers, Fox, Reptiles and Amphibians. Has beautiful green spaces as well. For the animal lover in you, this could very well be one of the best places you can visit and spend time in when you are in Tehran.
