  • Being on time can score you some major points with the people of Tehran. In Iranian culture, it is considered rude to make people wait.
  • Greet only the members of the same sex either by shaking hands or with a kiss. 
  • Bring sunscreen to not get sunburnt!
  • Consider buying a headscarf.

  • Do not engage in public displays of affection in Tehran
  • Using your left hand to eat a meal is considered rude, so keep that in mind.
  • Asking for "Sheesha" in Tehran could be considered rude as the word is associated with crystal meth. Instead, try asking for "Qalyon".
  • Keep in mind to not bring alcohol or drugs when you visit Iran.
  • As a more conservative country, try not to mention any offensive topics.

  • The Grand Bazaar: is a must visit for anyone who loves shopping to their heart's content. The Labyrinthian structure of the place is one that leaves everyone in awe. Full of shops, you can find everything you're looking for.
  • National Museum of Iran: Filled with artefacts and treasures from about 30,000 years ago, one can find beautiful things like pottery, coins, tools from the stone age and the like.
  • Golestan Palace: The 19th century palace, an abode to the Qajar Royals, consists of 17 structures as a whole. It includes a museum, throne rooms, reception halls, and a wonderfully maintained garden.

1.Enjoy the view of Tehran from Bam-E-Tehran

Bam-E-Tehran essentially translates to "Roof of Tehran". Situated on the Alborz mountains, it is an ideal place to enjoy some fresh aair and the breathtaking view that it has to offer. 2. Hike on mount Tochal:

Darband, an old village that is located to the north of Saab Abad Garden, is an extremely popular place for tourists to visit during the summers. From the mountain itself, one can witness an awe-inspiring view of the city of Tehran.

The Nature Bridge is a 270-meter bridge in Tehran that happens to be the largest overpass for pedestrians that was ever built in the capital city of Iran. Best time to visit

Tehran gets very hot in the summer months, so the best time to visit the city without breaking a sweat is during the spring and autumn seasons. The weather is ideal for sightseeing from March until May, and then again between September and early November.

Moderate time to visit

The months of June, July and August are generally hotter and less pleasant when compared to the spring and autumnal months. However, the weather is still tolerable during this time. Just remember to stay hydrated!

Worst time to visit

Due to Tehran having cold winters with temperatures often dropping below zero, it is better to steer clear of visiting the city during the months of December, January, and February.
