Each monument built by the kings commemorates a special occasion which then becomes history for the world. The happiness of King Akbar on the birth of his son was expressed by the creation of this distinctive monument on the outskirts of Agra. The Fatehpur Sikri is declared a UNESCO world heritage site. The same building houses the tomb of the saint who predicted the birth of Akbar's son. The entrance to Fatehpur Sikri palace is the Buland Darwaza built to celebrate Akbar's victory over Gujarat and is one of the world's highest gateways adorned with exquisite Mughal architecture. The monument has a unique blend of Indian, Persian, and Mughal architecture and is of historical significance. The Panch Mahal was initiated for the entertainment of Akbar, while the Birbal house was dedicated to his minister.
