The Anguri Bagh is aptly named for its finest harvest of excellent quality grapes or "angoor" (as called in the local language). It is located in the vicinity of the Jahangir’s Khas Mahal in Agra Fort with 85 geometrically symmetric gardens with fountains in between. The white marbles surrounding the garden are adorned with beautiful paintings adding to the magnificence of the garden. The garden is centrally located in Khas Mahal. It was constructed by Shahjahan as his leisure place. It is believed that during the Mughal period it was surrounded by vineyards, beautiful fountains, imperial bath complex and tanks. The place was exquisitely for Royal women to spend some time in privacy and enjoy leisurely strolls in the garden.
The visitors can hire a taxi or any means of public transport such as bus or autorickshaw to reach the place as it is only 2.5 km from the city center.
