Musee National de Kinshasa is a museum which is deep in the history of Congo and African traditions as well as Colonialist past. The museum was built by Mobutu in his private garden in 1970. The idea was given to him by his friend Leopold Sedar Senghor. It is a must-see place which has a small collection of artifacts of the country's history, dating back to the pre-homo sapiens era. The museum was established with help from a Belgium museum and exhibits a number of items. All of the artifacts are authentic, interesting and give visitors an idea and insight into the history of Congo. It has different galleries which exhibit the history of Congo. Guides are available to give an insight into the artifacts of the museum, and they speak English. Artifacts are well preserved and it is a must-visit destination for the people who are interested in history and love to explore ancient times.
