Santa Lucia is a hill that is situated in the middle of Santiago city. The hill captivates the eyes of a visitor with its various pathways such as the old path of the train and the energizing fountain in Patio with a monument of Pedro de Valdivia. The hill comprises of a park and is caparisoned with ornate facades, statues, fountains, stairways, and mountains. The hill seems to be a remnant of a volcano estimated to be 15 million years old. Brigadiers of the Royal Engineers constructed a fort or castle on Santa Lucia Hill. The hill also accommodates a Chapel and is certainly a place to visit.
Take Bus no.230 Santa Rosa which takes 23 minutes to reach the place. Bus no. 409 Parque Arouca which takes 42 minutes to reach the place.
