Centro Gabriela Mistral is named after the Chilean poet Gabriela Mistral, a Latin American woman to win a Nobel prize for literature. It is a cultural center for performing drama, live music, effusing creativity into the street artists. This is a hub of activity with a lot of artists assisting people in theater workshops as well as in the cultural activities. The stunning architecture on the inside has murals, cafes, plazas and rotating art exhibits on the ground floor representing the splendid architecture with vaults and cantilevers inside the place resembling a giant rusty cheese grater from the street. It is a convention center and a cultural center displaying various art forms, dance dramas, classical, popular music, contemporary photographs, and popular art forms.
By bus: from PA52-San Martín / Esq. Moneda, Bus no.303 towards Pza Italia PA 169 Parada 1(Universidad Catolica) and then walk towards Centre Gabriela Mistral. It takes 14 minutes to reach the place.3.1 km 2046 CLP Bus fare.
