About Cementerio General

The cemetery is the resting ground for the prominent .personalities from Santiago It has adorned mausoleums encompassed with palm and leaf trees amidst gardens and sculptures. The cemetery's main entrance is crowned by a dome. At the center is a square which houses a monument dedicated to people who died in the church. The place has prominent Presidents resting peacefully. It reflects a peaceful atmosphere. It is an open-air museum with value for heritage and culture. It sponsors sports, culture which is funded through the regional fund and public safety fund. The place has a  manicured garden that renders the place tranquil in keeping with the requirement.

How to reach

You need to walk 230 meters from RQ city center Moneda to reach PA 218 Hermanos Amenategui/Esq Moneda. Take 301 bus towards Juan A Rios to arrive PB 386 Avenida La Paz/Esq Olivos. From this place, walk 800 meters to reach Cementerio General. The bus fare would cost 2000 CLP approximately. It will take approximately 45 to 50 minutes to reach the place.
