About Quebec City Mural (Fresque des Québécois)

Getting lost in art, quite literally, is made possible by the eye-deceiving murals of Quebec City. They are fairly recent and have become a major component of the city’s urban heritage. These very realistic looking murals, usually cause tourists to stop and stare at them for a few minutes, out of surprise. Its intricate details like students kissing in a corner or a dove in flight truly depict, how much of a deeper meaning they hold. How to reach

By car/cab: It takes about 9 min to reach the location via Boulevard Charest E and QC-136 O as it is 2.7 km away from the city center.
By bus: From the city center, walk for about 3 min (210 m) to de la Couronne and board the bus no. 18 towards Gare du Palais (Est). Drop off at St Paul and walk for about 13 min (1 km) to reach the location. 
By bike: It takes about 12 min to ride up to the location via Sentiers de la Rivières Saint-Charles et du Berger and Corridor du Littoral as it is 3 km away from the city center.
By foot: It is a 28 min walk from the city center to the location via Rue du Roi as it is 2.2 km away.

  • Have enough time for your visit to the murals as it is worthwhile to observe the intricate details present in them.
  • Wear comfortable shoes as it is best to walk around to see the murals.
  • Make sure your phones and cameras fully charged with extra battery backup as there will be plenty of backgrounds to take photos against.
  • Find the best light in the daytime before visiting as the murals look best when it's sunny.
  • Get creative with the incredible murals and stand off the walls about three to four feet to get pictures with depth in them.
