St. Anastasia is the only surviving monastery on the island on the west Black-Sea coast. Its church is named St. Kliment Ohridski and was painted in 1802. The church is which was reconstructed, but the frescoes and the gates are preserved. Earlier the island was used as a political prison, you can feel the atmosphere standing in the cell.

Every day starting from 10:00 (4 times a day) regular boats run from the Burgas pier to the island and back. Each journey takes about 35 to 40 minutes.
