Austria really is a land with a vast catalog of museums, no matter what field you'd be interested in. Both the Kunsthistoriches building and its art collection are beyond compare. The unique collection has signed works by Caravaggio, Rembrandt, and other artistic greats. Also pay homage to Kunstkammer Vienna, a collection of over 2100 objects of art and history in the museum. Close to the inner circle of the city, you can incorporate this museum easily into your Viennese itinerary. The Art History museum also has a mirror image in the Natural History Museum across it! If you have the time, also check out how the building is lit during the night.
One can reach the museum stop Burgring/Kunsthistorisches by taking the streetcar D.
Another easy mode of transportation to the museum is the Subway train U2 and U3.
