The Royal Botanic Garden is an oasis on the edge of the world's most natural harbours. A short walk from Circular Quay and Hyde Park, the garden shows many plant and wildlife species. The garden that is a hub to a 30-hectare botanical garden, public recreation area, and an event venue is the most famous historic scientific institution worldwide. Owned and maintained by the Government of New South Wales, it includes wildlife of colourful birds, fruit bats, and Australian water dragons. With free admission, the botanical garden is open for all 365 days in a year.
The nearest train station is Martin Place. The garden has a short walk from St James and Circular Quay train stations. Catch a ferry to Circular Quay and walk to the gardens passing the Sydney Opera House.
