  • Dubai is extremely safe for women travelers. The women here are respected and enjoy a much more liberal lifestyle than many of their Gulf counterparts.
  • The advantage of being a woman in the UAE is that women are normally served first at banks and post offices, police stations and other government offices and frequently have separate queues.

  • Appropriate dressing is highly recommended especially by women in the city.

  • One should always ask for permission before taking any photographs.
  • Most of the clubs are closed during the month of Ramadan. The clubs close at 3 a.m. and the bars at 1 a.m. Keep that in mind while planning for your trip.
  • Bouncing of the cheque is a grave criminal offense here.

The best time to visit Dubai is between mid-November and early December, and then the first half of March as the weather is comfortably pleasant with less crowd in the city.
