About Liseberg

An amusement park in the heart of Scandinavia, Liseberg promises to be a day of fun for all those who visit. The attractions and events in this park are planned and divided into three seasons - Summer, Halloween, and Christmas. The programs change accordingly, and there is something for all ages each time. Among the rides and roller coasters, the Balder has been awarded the Best Wooden Tracked Roller Coaster twice. The AtmosFear, Valkyrie, and Helix are also famous. There is also a children's park. If you are a bit green around the gills about roller coasters, you can still enjoy the world-class concerts and theatre shows with the Rondo Show and the Lise Theatre. There are some theme restaurants and an all-vegetarian restaurant too. You can also camp or rent a hotel room in the park itself. During the winter, do not miss the Christmas market with its special mulled wine lorries!

Tips

  • Check if something special is happening during your visit to the West Coast on the official website, so that you can attend the event. The schedule is updated every single day.
  • Should the park be crowded, it's nice to plan your day ahead in order to experience your attractions of choice.
  • It's also a good idea to arrive at the park within 60 minutes of the park's opening hours, so that you can avoid some of the big queues.
  • Be prepared for lots of climbing if you visit the park, and dress accordingly.
  • Carry a change of clothes since there's a chance you can get drenched when you take the water-based rides.
  • Wear comfortable shoes, since you're going to spend a lot of time walking from ride-to-ride.
  • Carry a bottle of water with you to stay hydrated.
  • Keep sunblock with you, because even though Sweden has a cool climate, the sun is actually much sharper here and this is an outdoor attraction.
