Palli Palli - Never ; That means hurry - hurry in Korean; but not in Jeonju Hanok Village, designated as Slow City in 2010 for its relaxed pace of life, where nature is the reigning queen. But, once upon a time, there were kings, who ruled here; 14th Century to be precise when the Joseon Dynasty reigned here. Now, the past and present dwell here together in 735 traditional Hanok houses with their roofs uniquely raised towards the sky. Each house has a subfloor heating system kept warm with 'Ondol'. The 'Sarangchae' is for the men to reside. The 'Anchae', located deep inside the house is very private and only for women. The traditional but tasty Korean delicacy is 'Bibimbap'. There are Japanese houses and calligraphy; sake museums too. It's time you traveled back in time.
